| Homelessness is a growing epidemic in our country! Rhode Island's
programs alone serve over 5,000 individuals yearly. There are 550 shelter beds available on any single night in this state. On a statewide
basis, there are 20 agencies serving the homeless exclusively and 22 additional programs which are part of other social service agencies.
These homeless agencies and other programs work together through the R.I. Coalition for the Homeless. Rhode Island Family Shelter is a
member of this Coalition.
